How Much Does It Cost to Manufacture a Hoodie?

There is no single useful hoodie manufacturing price without a product specification. Compare the recurring garment price, one-time development charges and delivery costs separately, then calculate the cost for your actual order.

Calculate order cost without double-counting

Use this planning equation: order cost = quoted garment price × ordered quantity + separately charged development and setup + excluded packing, inspection and delivery costs. Add applicable import duties and taxes when comparing landed cost. Only add a line if it is not already included in the garment or shipping quote.

For a 100-piece order, divide the total costs you have chosen to include by 100 to compare an effective cost per ordered hoodie. Keep the recurring garment price visible as well: a repeat order may have a different development scope. This is a calculation method, not a price estimate or a promise of reorder discounts.

Make two hoodie quotes comparable

Send both suppliers the same tech-pack version, fabric target, color-and-size breakdown, artwork dimensions, label package and delivery country. Ask each to mark every excluded line. An undecorated pullover and a washed zip-up with embroidery are different products even if both quotes say custom hoodie.

Separate factory price from delivered cost. Ask for the named shipping term and location, transport method and responsibility for customs charges. Do not assume a quote described as shipping included also includes duty, tax, insurance or delivery to the final address. Clarify these items with the supplier and your logistics provider.

Reduce complexity without changing the product by accident

Request alternatives one at a time: fewer colorways, a simpler decoration layout, standard trims or a different available fabric. Compare the revised quote against the original specification. Keep the fit, hand feel and details that matter to the product rather than accepting an unexplained cheaper substitute.

Ask how each alternative affects sample approval and bulk planning. A fabric change can alter shrinkage and decoration; a zipper change can alter fit and assembly. Our MOQ is 100 pcs and samples take 7 days. Bulk lead time depends on order quantity, so supply your actual units when requesting a schedule. No fixed bulk window or sample-shipping inclusion is implied.

Quote checklist

  • Fabric blend, GSM, colors and size breakdown
  • Artwork dimensions, methods and number of placements
  • Labels, packing, inspection and development scope
  • Quantity, delivery country, required date and shipping basis

Questions before sampling

What is the cost to manufacture 100 hoodies?

Request the garment price for your exact specification at 100 pcs, then add separately charged development and excluded delivery costs. No reliable total can be calculated from quantity alone; fabric, construction and decoration must be defined.

Are sample costs included in the bulk hoodie price?

Do not assume they are. Ask for sample, pattern, revision and decoration-setup charges as separate quote lines, including any written credit terms. The confirmed sample lead time is 7 days; a sample fee has not been published.

Does ordering more hoodies always lower the total cost?

A larger order can spread setup costs across more units, but increases the amount purchased and inventory exposure. Ask for quantity-specific quotes on the same specification and compare total spend as well as the unit price.

What are your MOQ, sample time and bulk lead time?

MOQ is 100 pcs. Samples take 7 days. Bulk production lead time depends on order quantity.
